NHP Research Assistant
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our dynamic team at i-BRAIN, contributing to cutting-edge research in neuroscience and bioengineering. This position provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth and hands-on experience in advanced neurotechnological research within a collaborative and interdisciplinary academic environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead NHP surgery for chronic neural probe implantation, including post-operative monitoring and care.
- Assist with implantation of chronic flexible neural probes for electrophysiological recording in non-human primates (NHPs).
Experience with electrophysiological data collection, histology, imaging, and quantitative analysis is a plus.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in neuroscience, neurology, biomedical engineering, or related fields.
- Extensive laboratory experience and confidence in NHP neurosurgery, particularly in chronic electrophysiology probe implantation.
- Strong sense of responsibility, excellent technical and operational skills, and good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required.
